The name of this chapter shall be We Fuel Hope – [Chapter Name].
The purpose of this chapter is to support the mission of We Fuel Hope by providing gas cards and encouragement to individuals undergoing cancer treatment within the local community.
This chapter operates as part of We Fuel Hope, a nonprofit organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Chapters must:
Submit all donations and fundraising proceeds to the parent organization.
Use official We Fuel Hope stationery, branding, and logos.
Follow parent organization guidelines for operations.
Pay their own postage costs when mailing gas cards.
The parent organization will cover the nonprofit status and may purchase gas cards for the chapter upon request.
Each chapter shall establish a Chapter Committee to oversee its operations.
The size, structure, and roles of the committee shall be determined by the chapter (e.g., Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, or other roles).
The committee shall make decisions by a majority vote of its members, unless otherwise defined in the chapter’s policies.
Each chapter may define its own eligibility criteria for gas card applicants, provided it aligns with the mission of supporting cancer patients with transportation expenses.
Applications may be submitted by eligible individuals or nominated by others.
Chapters may determine the amount and number of gas cards awarded based on their budget and community needs.
Chapters may establish their own timelines and procedures for receiving and reviewing applications.
Gas cards shall be distributed to selected applicants by the chapter committee.
Gas cards must be used at recognized fuel providers and are not redeemable for cash.
Chapter committees may hold meetings as needed to review applications, plan fundraising, and conduct business.
The committee shall maintain proper records of all decisions, actions, and distributions.
Chapters must maintain financial and activity records for transparency and accountability.
Reports must be submitted to the parent organization upon request.
These bylaws may be amended by a majority vote of the chapter committee.
All amendments must be submitted to the parent organization for approval before taking effect.
If a chapter dissolves, any remaining assets or funds shall be returned to the parent organization, We Fuel Hope, to be used in alignment with its mission.
