The name of the organization is We Fuel Hope.
The purpose of the organization is to provide gas cards and emotional support to cancer patients, alleviating transportation expenses and fueling hope during treatment.
Parent Organization:
We Fuel Hope is recognized as a nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The parent organization is responsible for maintaining nonprofit status, overseeing financial compliance, and safeguarding the mission.
Director:
The organization shall be led by a Director.
The Director has authority over the parent organization and all affiliated chapters.
The Director may establish, approve, and dissolve chapters as necessary.
Chapters:
Chapters operate under the umbrella of We Fuel Hope.
Each chapter shall adopt bylaws consistent with the mission and guidelines of the parent organization.
Chapters are responsible for their local activities but remain accountable to the parent organization.
All donations and fundraising proceeds must be submitted to the parent organization.
The parent organization will:
Provide acknowledgment and receipts for donations (for tax purposes).
Purchase gas cards for chapters upon request.
Chapters are responsible for their own local fundraising expenses, including postage for mailing gas cards.
Chapters must use official We Fuel Hope stationery, logos, and branding provided by the parent organization.
Chapters may identify themselves as “We Fuel Hope – [Chapter Name]”.
Each chapter must submit bylaws to the parent organization for approval.
Chapters must keep accurate records of fundraising, applications, and gas card distributions.
Reports may be requested by the Director at any time.
These guidelines may be amended by the Director of We Fuel Hope.
Upon dissolution of the parent organization, assets shall be distributed for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of IRC Section 501(c)(3), or to the federal, state, or local government for a public purpose.
