Entering First Grade Expectations:

• Students should be able to read simple sentences

• Recognize letters, sounds, and, K sight words

• Write a complete simple sentence

• Touch and count objects/pictures up to 20

• Identify numbers 1-20

• General understanding of classroom rules/school behavior
