SMS 

SMS stands for Short Message Service and is also commonly referred to as a "text message".  

With a SMS, you can send a message of up to 160 characters to another device. Longer messages will automatically be split up into several parts. Most cell phones support this type of text messaging.

MMS

Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) is a standard way to send messages that include multimedia content to and from mobile phones. 

It extends the core SMS (Short Message Service) capability that allows the exchange of text messages only up to 160 characters in length.

MMS mobile marketing can contain a timed slideshow of images, text, audio and video.
