On this page you will find information on:
A company’s online presence is invaluable for attracting the right people, whether that’s investors, customers or partners. Your profile serves as a first introduction to the 40,000+ attendees joining us in Toronto for Collision.
You can find a link to your startup profile in the welcome email from your startup success manager. Find out more here.
Your startup profile is a visual representation of your company at our event. The information you supply is multi-purpose and will be used in the following ways:
To print your exhibition board
To create your company profile on our mobile app, which is visible to all our attendees, including investors, partners and media
To send to investors so they can choose startups they want to meet at the event
To create a listing for you on our featured startup page.
Think of your profile as visual marketing. Your profile says a lot about your company. Having a well-phrased elevator pitch can help encourage engagement with your company, and a visually-attractive logo may increase the number of views on your profile.
Exhibition board
The printed board will hang on your exhibition stand and display the following information:
Company name
Company logo
Industry
Elevator pitch
Country of HQ
Company website
Company X (fka Twitter) handle
Impact badge (if applicable)
If you fail to complete your profile by the allocated deadline, we will be unable to print your exhibition board or assign you an exhibition booth at Collision.
Company name
Provide the company name you want to appear on your startup profile, which is visible to all attendees. Taglines or special characters that are not part of your company name will be removed.
Industry
You can only select one industry category. Ensure to select the industry you want to target most at Collision, as investors will search for startup companies’ profiles based on industry. To help you choose an industry, think about the focus of your company from an investor’s perspective.
Elevator pitch
This is a short, 140-character summary of your product or service offering. Make sure your message is clear, coherent and grammatically correct. Any emojis, symbols or additional images will be removed when printing.
Please note: We do not proofread profiles before printing. Please make sure to check for typos and use of correct characters.
Why does my logo have to be an EPS file?
EPS files allow for flexibility, particularly in terms of resizing, and provide the best quality version of your logo. We will need to resize your company logo in order to design your exhibition board. Non-vector files often appear pixelated or warped when resized.
How should my logo appear?
Your logo is the first thing Collision attendees will notice. We recommend getting a designer to create your logo for you. Having a professionally made logo is an investment in your company's future.
If you already have a logo, we will need an EPS version to scale the logo to your exhibition board. If your logo is predominantly white or contains white text, please consider using an alternative version to help it stand out against the white background of your board.
Your logo cannot contain a QR code. External QR codes are incompatible with our in-app QR code scanner and may confuse attendees.
Please do not add another company’s logo to your exhibition board.
My logo will not upload to my startup profile, what do I do?
Logos must be uploaded in vector/EPS format. Other file types, including JPG, PNG and GIF, are pixel-based file formats that do not offer the best image quality.
Trying to resize a pixel-based image will cause the pixels to become visible and your logo to appear blurry. For this reason, our site does not allow the upload of pixel-based images.
How can I create an EPS version of my logo?
EPS files can only be created in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. If you do not have access to these, contact your designer for assistance.

This page can be updated at any time until the event. It does not lock when page one has been confirmed for printing.
Searching for investment?
It’s important to state on your profile that you are searching for investment to ensure investors who are interested can understand where you are with your company. This information is visible on the investor portal, so ensure all information you add here is accurate.
Even if you’re not searching for investment right now, adding the right information can connect you with contacts that might be exactly what you need as your startup grows. You never know who’s searching!
The options you choose on this page will also determine what filters your startup will appear under on the Collision app.
Your PITCH deck
Uploading a PITCH deck is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend it. Your PITCH deck is important, as it shows attendees how serious you are about your company and offers a concise way for people to understand your business. You will also need a PITCH deck to apply for some of our activations.
We know that things change quickly in the startup world, so you can upload and update your PITCH deck before and during the event to ensure it stays relevant.

This page allows you to add any additional relevant information. It’s not mandatory to fill in this page, and you can update it whenever you want.
