Supply Lists

Here is a list of supplies needed for each instrument. Please have these supplies ready for the first school lesson. Starred (*) items may be left at home, for home practice

Violin and Viola

Music Stand*
Rosin (usually comes with the instrument rental)
1 inch binder with pockets and page protectors
Shaped Shoulder Sponge or Shoulder Rest
Soft cloth for cleaning the instrument (you can use part of an old t-shirt)
Pencil
Luggage tag to label the instrument case

A chair or stool for home practice that is armless that allows them to sit with their back straight and feet flat on the ground *
Rosin (usually comes with the rental)

Endpin anchor or rock stop (proctects the floors from scratching and prevents sliding)*
Soft Cloth for Cleaning the Instrument (can be a part of an old t-shirt)*

String Bass

Soft Cloth for Cleaning instrument (an old t-shirt works well) *
1 inch binder with pockets and page protectors
Carlsson or Pops brand bass rosin *
Rock Stop (protects the floors from scratching and prevents instrument from sliding)*
