Supply List

Welcome to Second Grade!

We hope you have a fun and relaxing summer. We can’t wait to meet each of you in September! Here are the supplies you will need for second grade. Please make sure all items that are not intended to be shared with the class are labeled with your name.

1. 2 packages of sharpened Ticonderoga #2 pencils with erasers – Please no mechanical pencils (these will be shared with the class for the year)
2. Crayola crayons – a box of a maximum of 24 crayons – no Twistables please
3. Four Elmer’s glue sticks (to be shared with the class)
4. 1 box of Crayola colored pencils – 12 colors
5. 2 wide ruled composition notebooks (black marble cover) – approximately 7 ½” x 9 ½”
6. 1 handheld pencil sharpener with lid to hold shavings
7. Art smock (an old shirt is fine!) labeled with your name
8. 2 packages of cap erasers

9. Scissors (labeled with your name)

10. Sony MDRZX110 ZX Series Stereo Headphones (Black or white)- wrap around ear

11. Yellow highlighter

12. Four Expo dry erase markers (preferably Bic or Expo) – to be shared with the class

13. Backpack (please no backpacks with wheels)

Parents – We will put the glue sticks, pencils, and dry erase markers into a community supply pool. Please also label your child’s backpack with his/her name, address, and bus number. Thanks so much!

In addition, when you receive your teacher assignment in August, you will need the following class-specific supplies listed:

• 1” 3-ring hard-covered red binder
• 1 package of 5 tab dividers
• 2 boxes of Kleenex
• 1 durable plastic folder in each of these colors. (red, blue, green, yellow, purple)
