The first thing my cooperating teacher did before teaching was to prepare a lesson plan and materials, typically in the form of Google Slides or from other sources, which would then be uploaded to the Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS content was comprehensive and structured, covering all the material to be learned from the first meeting to the last. Each meeting could include material, quizzes, and evaluations. In their teaching, my cooperating teacher integrated technology and connected it to real-world problems
The lessons and materials at USLS-IS are already aligned with the K-12 curriculum set by the Philippine government. The government has outlined and written all the lessons for the entire semester in the curriculum. As a result, teachers only need to prepare the materials
It began with my cooperating teacher entering the classroom, greeting the students, and the students reciprocating the greeting. This was followed by a prayer, as taught at USLS-IS. After the prayer, the teacher commenced the lesson by emphasizing the learning objectives and then presenting the material, which was based on real-life problem-solving.
My cooperating teacher had specific criteria for assessing students, which included written assignments, performance, and quarterly exams.
