Task Description
Singing: Come let us work.
The task that students had to do was to sing a song in ‘2-part’. Students were not only to concentrate on their own part, but also have an awareness of the other members -with regard to tempo, rhythm and pitch. Otherwise, the music would not sound fluent.

Student's Reflection
6D Daisy Chan (1)
I think it is very fun to do this 2-part singing. First, I can have a chance to perform in front of my classmates. Second, it is amazing to make a beautiful sound with the human voice. Third, I want to appreciate the classmates that were brave enough to perform.

I really enjoy 2-part singing; the melody was amazing. We practiced together at recess to make sure everything was alright. All in all, I think it was quite easy and was looking forward to facing new challenges.

Before we started this topic, I already knew that in 2-part we sing at the same time but with two different melodies. This was because I joined the school choir. When we tried 2-part singing, it was really hard not to follow the other singer and so, forget your words.
6D Will Yu (27)
I think I did not do too well in the recording. During the first few tries, my pitch was wrong. Therefore I want to improve control of my pitch. As our graduation song recording is coming, I will improve it. I learned to use teamwork from studying the song because my rhythm needed to be the same as my partner.

I was glad that I could sing with my classmates. In this song, I was voice 1, although I was a boy and I didn’t have a high pitch, I tried my best. This singing experience has taught me the breathing technique. We learned to work as a team from this experience. It was unforgettable!
Teacher's Comment
This piece is quite short. They sang the melody in the correct tempo, pitch and rhythm. The sound balance was quite good. Their voices were nice. I appreciate that they practiced a lot in the recess. I hope they can handle it in the future when they sing a masterpiece. Keep it up!
