Task Description
This math journal requires students to use their knowledge of eight directions to create a map and set questions or tasks for other students to solve. The goal of this journal is to encourage students to use something from daily-life experience and combine it with the topic that was taught in class. This is to show if they are capable of understanding the learning outcome and sum up the knowledge in this chapter.

Student's Reflection
I personally do not have much interest in this topic, but after learning it and doing more search on it, I tried my best to finish my journal nicely. I am surprised and happy that I have been picked as one of the good works in this class. However, there are things I would like to improve; the colouring and drawing, for example. But, I like my compass design. My classmate said it was a bit hard to find out the direction, so if I had a chance next time to continue with this topic, I would try to improve the areas that I found could be better.
Teacher's Comment
Marcus has created a treasure-hunt map. His drawing and description are excellent, and his work is clear, colourful and has great detail. I appreciated that, even though he wasn’t too interested in this topic at the beginning, he insisted on finishing his work to a great standard. He was able to use the concept of what he have learnt in class and applied it into his brilliant creation of a treasure map. Good job and keep it up!
