Task Description
“A Brief Introduction to Chinese Blue and White Porcelain” was given to students as a task. Students learnt to appreciate objects from everyday life. They put great effort into designing even the even the most ordinary of designs.
Students used blue and white acrylic to paint on a paper plate. They designed the plate with traditional Chinese patterns. Controlling the brush stroke and colour was not as easy as it seemed.

Student's Reflection
In this artwork, the teacher introduced Chinese blue and white porcelain to us. We used acrylic paint on paper plates. The most challenging part was to paint lines smoothly, because the plate was not flat. You need to be very patient. I am starting to notice and appreciate more designs on everyday objects, like bowls and plates. We usually take these for granted.
Teacher's Comment
Oi Lam is very talented in art, she is very patient when creating art, and always strives for excellence. You can see how detailed her painting is in this artwork. The lines are very smooth, the composition and the use of dark and light blue are great.
