Task Description
A brief introduction of Chinese blue and white porcelain was given to students. Students learnt to appreciate objects from everyday life. Some put great effort into designing even the even the most ordinary things. Students used blue and white acrylic to paint on a paper plate, and they designed the plate with traditional Chinese patterns. Controlling the brush stroke and colour was not as easy as it seems.

Student's Reflection
The little bird is the one I liked most in this "Blue and White Porcelain" artwork. I painted it with the colours of dark and light blue only. To finish this artwork, I had to learn the subtle differences in colour resulting from brushstrokes.
Teacher's Comment
Chloe did a good job on painting this blue and white porcelain. She could draw the bird and the background with fine and detailed lines. Moreover, she could use gradient colour by mixing a lot of water with the blue paint and applying it on the frame of the plate. It gave us a clear sky effect.
