Task Description
Graffiti is writing and drawing made on a wall within public view. Graffiti often has simply written words. Students were able to understand the styles and context of graffiti, including sharp outlines, overlapping words and shadow drawing. They reformed the shapes of the letters and drew in a cool graffiti style. Students learned to style their name with shapes, values, spaces and colours, which are the techniques and characteristics we learn from graffiti.

Student's Reflection
The original idea was inspired by a horror movie named IT. In order to create the scary feelings, blood and pointed teeth that were put in the design. I used green, yellow, and orange colours to make a graffiti-like look. Then, sharp and three dimensional styles were also revealed in the expression of the logo typeface. I liked this very much and felt satisfied with my graffiti-like design.
Teacher's Comment
Edgar has a strong idea in mind. I appreciate that the sharp shapes and colours were well chosen to reveal the horror theme. Especially the suspenseful major tone in green and the bloody decoration around his name. Also, Edgar did well on creating contrast on the sharp straight outlines and the liquid-like bleeding sprinkled around, which strengthen the scary feelings.
