Task Description
In this chapter, I taught “Performance direction”, which involved dynamics, tempo and expression markings. We did a group discussion and aimed to design different performance directions to the song, “My family”. They performed their own version of this song finally. The rest of the students were free to give some comments for peer improvement.

Student's Reflection
We had some problems with notes, like F and Fm. We solved this by using the speaking voice.
We enjoyed doing this work because it was fun, and it trained us in teamwork. We think if we were teaching this, we would give us about 8 marks out of ten, because maybe there was a bit of singing out of time. Finally, we hope to improve our singing to make it louder because we think our voice was too soft.
Teacher's Comment
I could see everyone enjoyed this group activity so much and got involved in creating the performance directions together. I appreciated the design of this group which put appropriate markings into suitable places. They put effort into practicing with team members, and they showed most of the effect of their performance markings.
