Task Description
We asked the students of P4 to discuss some actions related to the core value of ‘Respect’ in the P.E. lesson. We separated the students into seven groups and asked them to discuss the positive outcome or negative consequence for being respectful or disrespectful, in their own words and drawings. We asked students to recall a memory or experience in the past which relates to Respect. After that, they had to share their own case with others and have a discussion about what respect is. I was glad to see that students realized the importance of this value and how having respectful actions helps you build close friendships and increases leadership potential.

Student's Reflection
I learned the importance of Respect in this work. If we do not respect each other it can destroy our relationship. So, we should have our own respect in the P.E. lesson. This will help us keep a good relationship.
Teacher's Comment
This group showed a lot of creativity in their work. The pictures are lovely and the writing explained their scenario well. Moreover, they understood the meaning of respect and could give some examples which show respect in the P.E. lesson. One of them was, “I do not laugh at my classmate when she falls down.” It is a realistic situation that happens in PE lessons. I believe they really learned something important in this reflective activity.
