Task Description
In the science lesson, students were presented with a variety of materials and a set of instructions to carry out an experiment. The students had to work independently during the experiment. The aim of the experiment was for students to explore the effects of surface tension, and how the presence of it helps the water droplets to form a dome shape.
Student's work
3D (10) Serena Ho
Student's Reflection
I performed an experiment about surface tension and learned how to use a water dropper to make dome-shaped droplets. I used what I learned to make my name, using the droplets with the water dropper. I enjoyed performing this experiment because I was able to succeed at it.
Teacher's Comment
Throughout the experiment, Serena demonstrated a mature and serious attitude towards her work. Her careful and measured use of the materials (specifically the water dropper) helped her to perform the experiment with a high level of success. She was able to record her results and offer a deep scientific reasoning to explain why the water was able to form a ‘dome shape’ on the table.
