Task Description
Students learnt from Eric Carle. He was a writer and illustrator of children’s books. He is most famous for the picture book, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”.
Students firstly painted on the paper and made patterns or prints to create texture on top of it. Then they learnt how to use the technique of collage. Collages are pictures that are created with cut pieces of paper glued together to create a picture.
Student's work
3B (3) Travis Chiu
Student's Reflection
This is a Shiba Inu. Dogs are humans’ most loyal friends. I wish there could be less cruel treatment of animals in this world.
Teacher's Comment
Travis is very creative and always has some fun ideas. He drew the animal very well, and he was able to dissect the animal into simple shapes and made a collage, which is not easy. The texture paper he made matches the objects in his artwork.
