3A Music

Teaching the recorder through Zoom was a big challenge for both teachers and students this year, especially P.3 students, who were new learners of the instrument. I spent a lot of time adjusting the students’ posture of playing recorder through a video-taking assignment. In this task, students were to take a video of themselves playing a song which involved five notes they had learned. Students should play the song smoothly with correct articulation and posture.

Venus did her recorder assignments seriously every time. She played recorder with a clear tone, and suitable dynamics, which showed she paid attention to my teaching. She also did lots of practice by herself. I hope to see her demonstration in live performance after COVID-19.
