Task Description
P2 students are reading the book “The Giving Tree” this year. In that lesson, we talked about how the tree sacrificed herself by letting the little boy cut down her trunk, to build a boat.
We want students to be thankful to those who love and care for them so much, and we also want them to show care to their family and friends like the tree did to the boy.
As an extension of this class, we asked Felix to draw a “Thank You” card to the one he wanted to say “thank you” to.

Student's Reflection
This is my Thank You card to my little brother. Making this card is my favourite work because my little brother really brings happiness to my family. If I could do this task again, I would add my parents also, because they care for us deeply. From this task, I learned to love and respect to my grandparents too, because they love my whole family very much.
Teacher's Comment
Felix drew a lovely card for his little brother, which I did not expect, as most of the students wrote to their parents. I can see that Felix is a boy who is always thankful to people around him and appreciates every little thing he has. I can see the sweet and big smile from both Felix and his little brother, which shows how good their relationship is. His card is very colourful, and I believe that he has put a lot of effort into making it.
