Task Description
Singing: The Rabbit and Panda
This song teaches the technique of ‘Call and Response’ and is in the form of a conversation between two animals –a rabbit and a panda. ‘Call and Response’ is a technique whereby performers can engage in a dialogue with their listeners, thus using music to stimulate communication between people. One student will sing the panda lines, and one student will sing the rabbit lines of the song as a call and response.

Student's Reflection
2C Cyrus Kwok (10)
I feel happy with the song, Rabbit and Panda. I like the Call and Response singing technique. However, I am shy to sing in front of the class.
2C Sharon Lam (13)
At the beginning I felt nervous, because I had never done this kind of singing in the past. Ms. Li helped me a lot, so we had a good performance.
2C Hazel Ng (22)
I like Call and Response because we can have a conversation and sing at the same time. If I were the teacher, I think the students would learn this singing technique easily.
2C Marcus Ngan (23)
I have learned four singing techniques this year. They are:
1. Solo singing
2. Choral singing
3. Two part canon
4. Call and Response
I like “Call and Response” the most.
Teacher's Comment
They tried to present the “Call and Response” song like a conversation, and they sang the song with correct pitch and rhythm. Moreover, they added some actions to make the song more interesting. For a better performance, they could face the audience more when they perform.
