Task Description
In our Language Arts classic book, “The Giving Tree”, the tree showed unconditional love and care for the little boy throughout his life.
We asked the students of P2 to make a card showing appreciation for someone special, someone who shows them unconditional love.

Student's Reflection
In this class, I have learned how to tell a story and express my feelings through drawing. I also learned about respect and care from this task. It made me think about what my parents do for me every day! I should show more care and respect for them to repay their kindness. I like the heart shape I made, which represents my love for my mum. If I could do something differently, I would add more colour and background details.
Teacher's Comment
Erin made this card to show appreciation for the unconditional love her mother shows her. I love the way she used different paper to make the heart, and her drawings are always beautiful in our assignments. This lesson was an extension of the many times that the tree shows care for the little boy, and Erin demonstrated well that she appreciates what her mum does for her and the care her parents provide.
