Student's Reflection
This was an interesting assignment in which I learned many new words from making vocab cards.
I chose the words from the vocabulary pages of the unit from the Reach Higher books. There are many useful words.
First, I wrote the word on the cover page of the vocab card and drew a picture to show its meaning. Then, I wrote down the definition on the second page. Finally, I made a sentence and also drew a picture to illustrate my sentence on the third page.
I really like making vocab cards because I can learn and have a lot of fun at the same time. I am very satisfied that I can create contextual sentences through making them. It also strengthens and expands my vocabulary which helps improve my writing a lot!
Teacher's Comment
Colin writes imaginative contextual sentences. He showed his passion in learning the vocabulary by making vocab cards for each unit. He made good use of the dictionary to extend his learning outside of the classroom. After making the vocab cards, he also showed them to his classmates to challenge them to complete the sentences by using the targeted vocabulary. Wonderful work, Colin!
