Task Description
P2 students are reading the book “The Giving Tree” in the lesson.
In this lesson, we talked about how the tree helped the little boy to build a house for his family by giving all her branches and leaves to the boy.
We want students to learn that we should respect and appreciate those who always help us, and at the same time, we can help them back when they are in need.
This task is an extension to the lesson. Sky was asked to draw and write about how he cares for his family/friends in his daily life.

I will help my mother to carry the shopping bags and things she bought in the mall. I will get things that she needs and answer her questions properly. I will play with her and help her by listening carefully and doing things she needs me to do.
Student's Reflection
My work is about caring for my fantastic mom. I love my work, so I put a lot of time into doing this piece of work. In this task, I learned that we should care for each other. I think I would write about the rest of my family if I could do this task again because I love them too. I learned that we need to be thankful for the people that help us.
Teacher's Comment
Sky drew a lovely and detailed picture of mom and him in the shopping mall. He showed that he is a very helpful boy by making various helpful suggestions to his mum. I always enjoy reading his work because of his beautiful drawing and how he reflects on himself after the lesson.
