Task Description
We asked the students of P1 to reflect on our lesson where the main character of “The Boy who Cried I Promise”, is lonely because he broke his promises to get his classmates possessions.
This task was an extension of the part of our book where Jonah has no friends because he lacked integrity and lied to them.
We asked students to draw about and-or draw what they thought was more important-friends to play with, or lots of toys and things.

Integrity
One day when my mom was about to leave home to go shopping, I promised her I would finish my homework before she returned – and I did! My mom was very proud of me.
Student's Reflection
This is my LA reflective journal about Integrity. My favourite part is when I kept my word to my mum because it taught me that this value is important. If I had to do it again, I would also show integrity to my classmates because I also learnt this from my friends in school.
Teacher's Comment
Lyan did a lovely drawing here with her homework done and, I particularly liked the big love heart with the message: “Integrity is Important”. She showed me through this and her writing that she did as she promised and had a great reaction from her mother. It is also a cheerful and colourful submission.
