Task Description
For this task, we sang “Down by the Station” in the music lesson. I taught students to sing solfege and do the hand signs before singing lyrics, in order to let students recognize different pitch in music. Afterwards, I sang the lyrics and asked students to give ideas of adding movements into the lyrics, so as to create an environment in the story. Aiden was one of the students who sang “Down by the Station” with movements.

1B (28) Harmony Tsang
Student's Reflection
I found it difficult to sing the song, but I practiced many times at home.
I like this piece of work very much because I love this song.
It is a lovely song, but if I were the teacher I would ask my students to sing a duet. It would sound wonderful.
I might want to play some musical instruments while singing this piece, such as maracas or tambourine.
Teacher's Comment
Harmony sang “Down by the Station” sweetly. She could catch the tempo and sang it smoothly, even though it is a fast song. It would be a better performance if she sang louder. Harmony tried her best to add movements into the song, and I appreciate she spent lots of time practicing at home.
