Task Description
Animal Print is a print-making artwork. Students learn to partition different parts of an animal and draw it in detail. They learn the skills of print-making which requires them to darker colours on the back page. The animal can then be printed on a new page when students trace the whole draft again.

Student's Reflection
‘Animal print’ is about drawing animals without colouring in. I drew my favourite animal -the scorpion. I like to colour with oil pastels; the colour mixings are very nice. The most inspiring part was tracing the picture again with force. It surprised me that the colours transfer to the back page and printed a new colourful picture. I enjoyed making this artwork. It was fun! I learned how to mix different colours that made the artwork more beautiful.
Teacher's Comment
Him did so well in animal printing. He has a good observation on the details of a scorpion -especially the claws and tail. The gradient colours were mixed with bright ones which made the scorpion more colourful. Him had good printing skills, which ensured the lines and details were neat and smooth. He also gave respect to his scorpion and provided it with a comfortable environment for living.
