About the Durant

The Jerry Durant Auditorium was built in 2003 as part of the construction of the present Weatherford High School  campus. The auditorium was named after Jerry Durant, a prominent auto salesman and Weatherford community member who donated the 60 acres of land that the high school stands on. Durant's legacy continues to live at WHS through his partnerships with WHS and his status as an honorary director of the WISD school board.
