Program Information

Times/Location:

• The Preschool Program is located at 177 Summit Street in Norwood New Jersey.

• This is a Full Day Program from 8:15 am-2:45 pm and follows the approved school calendar. 

• Students have rest time for approximately 40-45 min in the afternoon.

• Lunch is at 12 pm.  Parents can send lunch or can purchase lunch through the PTO.

Curriculum/Program:

• Our full day preschool program at Norwood Public School utilizes the Curiosity Corner Curriculum.

• This program encourages students to learn through purposeful play and center-based activities.

• Collaborative learning is utilized to explore thematic units over the course of the year 

• The Curiosity Corner Curriculum is a developmentally appropriate program created to foster children's language, cognitive, mathematical, emotional, interpersonal, creative, and physical development.

• General education students must be toilet trained upon entering the program.  There are bathrooms within the classroom.  

• Before and Aftercare programs are not available for the preschool population at this time. 

Student/Staff Ratio:

• Each classroom is staffed with one NJ Certified teacher and one paraprofessional.

• The maximum enrollment for each classroom is 15:1:1.

Registration/Cost:

• Initial pre-registration for the 25-26 school year will be taken though a Google Form on a first come first served basis.

• If we meet capacity a lottery will be held to determine who will be placed in the program.

• The cost of the program is $1,150/month with a $2,300 deposit for first and last month's tuition by April 12th.  Tuition is only required for general education students.

• If your child is accepted into the program, you will need to complete the Registration process on the Registration tab.  The Norwood Preschool Program is currently for Norwood residents only.
