Bible

Students will spend some time practicing their memory work for Bible in class. Memory work practice is also to be considered part of the Grade 2's homework. Students will be asked to recite their memory work to the class at the end of each month or every few weeks, depending on the length of the verses.

Memory Work for September 

James 1:19-20

My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. (NIV)

Memory Work for October 

Psalm 105:4-6

Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always. Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced, you His servants, the descendants of Abraham, His chosen ones, the children of Jacob. (NIV)

Memory Work for November

This month, we'll be working on reviewing the books of the Bible, focusing on their categorization (Old or New Testament), general sequence, and where we can find stories. At the end of the month, each student will complete a simple video project on a book of the Bible of their choice. More information will be sent home on November 17th.
