Ideas
My idea for shoot 3 is to photograph in the style of Edward Weston's architecture images. I will photograph the interior and exterior architecture of my house. I will do some experimenting with shadows and different viewpoints. I will bring in some indoor potted plants in some photos.
Artist Model Inspiration: Edward Weston
I was inspired by Edward Weston because of his architectural photographs. His use of lines and angles. I used this idea by photographing the interior and exterior architecture of my house exploring the lines and angles of my house from different viewpoints.
Evaluation
What worked?
The interior architecture looked really nice, I like the minimalistic, clean, black and white look. Also the interior plants in the pots looked nice and was a good way to incorporate the nature side of my theme with the architecture
What didn't, and how could this be improved?
I didn't like how the images of the exterior of the house was such a strong blue (sky) and green (roof) colour this could be improved by making the images black and white
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea?
I will experiment photographing the garden at night with a flash on

Ideas
My idea for shoot 6 is to photograph the garden at night with a flash on and of the garden lights. I will experiment with silhouettes and sunset/night lighting. I will also take some photos from inside my house looking out the windows to the garden, focusing the camera on either the window or garden
Evaluation
What worked?
I loved using the flash on the plants it really made the colour of the plants pop with the darkness around them. The silhouettes of the trees/plants/powerlines with sunset the sunset looked really nice as-well. And looking out the window to the garden having different focus's was a really good way to link the architecture to the garden.
What didn't, and how could this be improved?
Some sunset photos were over-exposed which could be improved by changing camera settings/editing photos. Some were also blurry which could be improved by using a tripod.
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea?
I am going to print existing photos of plants and architecture and put dirt/water on them and re-photograph

Ideas
My idea for shoot 7 is to photograph in the style of Jerry Takigawa's still life where he prints his photos and re-photographs with objects over top of them. I will photographically print existing photos and put water droplets and dirt on them to re-photograph. Also, try completely submerging them in water
Artist Model Inspiration: Jerry Takigawa
Remember Me
I was inspired by Jerry Takigawa because of his still life where he printed his own photos and put objects over them to re-photograph. I used this idea by printing my images and placing things relevant to my theme like dirt and water droplets on them to re-photograph.
Evaluation
What worked?
Putting dirt on the printing photos and photographing up-close and further away. The water droplets also looked good and was a good way to possibly extend into the idea of water
What didn't, and how could this be improved?
Overlapping the photos looked too busy and some photos were out of focus so to improve I would need to use a macro lens for the close-up photos
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea?
I am going to photograph in the style of Uta Barth's blurred photos and tree silhouette photos

My idea for shoot 10 is to photograph in the style of Uta Barth's blurred photos and tree silhouette photos. I will photograph the architecture of my house and some of the garden through a window in the blurred setting.
Artist Model Inspiration: Uta Barth
I was inspired by Uta Barth because of her blurred photographic style and her tree silhouettes. I used these ideas and photographed the architecture around my house, including the windows, lights and architraves with the blurred setting on the camera. I also photographed tree silhouettes.
Evaluation
What worked?
Taking blurred photos from inside the windows to the garden looked really nice. Also the blurred photos of the lights. The tree silhouettes with the sunset looked nice too.
What didn't, and how could this be improved?
Apart from some things being over-exposed which could be improved with editing, everything worked well
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea?
I am going to photograph in the style of David Hilliard to help link the garden to my house.

Ideas
my idea for shoot 8 is to photograph in the style of David Hilliard's house/window, experimenting with panoramic - house, window, flowers and model
Artist Model Inspiration: David Hilliard
I was inspired by David Hilliard because of his panoramic photographs where he photographs from outside looking in on the building with the lights on at night and plants outside. I used this idea by photographing my house with the interior lights on at night time and looking at the plants outside too.
Evaluation
What worked?
Nothing worked, the lighting was weird and the overall composition looked bad.
What didn't, and how could this be improved?
This shoot was a big fail and didn't turn out how I wanted. I don't have a good enough place where the garden is by a window, so my idea to link the garden to the interior of the house will not work. Some photos were also blurry even when I was using a tripod. I've already tried improving this shoot and it just doesnt work well.
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea?
Next time I have going to photograph in the style of Gavin Hipkins and explore the idea of reflections.

Ideas
My idea for shoot 10 is to photograph in the style of Gavin Hipkin's reflective photographs. I will print my photos and put them inside a window and have reflections of my house + garden on the photos.
Artist Model Inspiration: Gavin Hipkins
I was inspired by Gavin Hipkins because of his reflective photography where he reflects the shape of something onto a photograph. I used this idea by photographing my printed images with the reflection of my house + garden on them.
Evaluation
What worked?
having the reflection of trees, plants and the house on the photos of architecture and a rose, I like how this brings in the idea of distortion and is a good idea to extened on further
What didn't, and how could this be improved?
The reflections on the printed flower grid I made looked very busy and I dont like how that looks, no need to improve as I just wont use the photos with the flower grid
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea?
I will use a wide-angle lens to photogrpah the interior and exterior of my house and garden
10.8.22 85 images
Ideas
my idea for shoot 11 is to use a wide-angle lens and photograph interior spaces, the exterior of my house and the garden.
Evaluation
What worked?
photogrpahing the house with the wide-angle lens worked well to get the whole house in the photo which I struggled to do previously with a normal camera lens. Also going closer to the house and photogrpahing the exterior windows with the bushes in front.
What didn't, and how could this be improved?
The lighting through the window in the interior photos is over-exposed, this could be improved by editing them or re-photogrpahing. I also dont really like the composition of the interior photos as it looks very busy with the chair, cushion, window and curtains, this could be improved by re-photogrpahing the space and removing some objects from the sides.
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea?
photogrpah in the style of Gavin Hipkins by cutting cirlces in my images and photogrpahing through the holes.

Ideas
my idea for shoot 12 is to photograph in the style of Gavin Hipkin's photos with small and large circles. I will cut different-sized circles in my printed photographs and stick them on a window and photograph through the cut circles. I will also put my photos in the garden and have the plants come through the cut holes.
Artist Model Inspiration: Gavin Hipkins
I was inspired by Gavin Hipkins because of his photos with small and large circles overtop. I used this idea by cutting different sized circles in my printing images and photographing through the circles.
Evaluation
What worked?
I love the photographs of the plants coming through the circles, I think this is an interesting idea and I love how it looks. Also putting the photographs on the window and photographing through the circles with either the photo or the view through the window in focus looks very interesting. The idea of circles could be a good thing to extend on further
What didn't, and how could this be improved?
Some photos were over-exposed as the sun kept coming and going, to improve these can just be deleted or edited as I have enough other photographs. Otherwise everything worked and went to plan and i love how this shoots turned out
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea?
I am going to explore the idea of photographing water droplets
25.8.22 76 images
Ideas
my idea for shoot 13 is to explore the idea of photographing water/water droplets with a macro lens. I will photograph the rain on windows, water droplets on plants in the garden and bring the glass from a frame into the garden and have the rain on it to photograph.
Evaluation
What worked?
Using the macro lens to photograph water droplets on the plants and on the glass, I love how this looked and is a good way to extend further on water and create some distortion with water. Also photogrphaing the windows whilst it was rainign looked very interesting.
What didn't, and how could this be improved?
a lot of the photos turned out to be blurry, this is because it was windy and raining when I was photographing so it was hard for me to stay still and the plants were moving in the wind. This could be improved by photographing in less-windy weather and using a tripod
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea?
extend further on the idea of water to create distortion
