Things I liked:
I liked the symmetry of some of the features on the church and the liens from the wood panels that I could play around with. Photographing thew windows unintentionally produced reflections of the sky in the background which I like the look of.
Things to improve:
I might reshoot at an earlier time because while the lighting was good for photographing shadows and reflections, I would like for the other photos to be lighter and less gloomy looking. I played around with the DoF and would take more photos with different depth of fields because I quite like how they turned out.
Things to extend your idea:
Explore more of the reflections in the window and maybe photograph similar churches/chapels to explore the religious component of the theme because of the main house being an old convent school.
Things I liked:
I really like the long shots of the house, especially by the pool area and the front door (left two photos). I think that they turned out really clean and I like the lines and the angle roof of the house. I liked the symmetry of the windows at the back of the house on either side of the double doors.
Things to improve:
The auto visual setting on the camera caused lots of the photos to come out grainy due to the lack of light so next time probably double check the photos come out clean and adjust the camera settings to fit the lighting etc.
Things to extend your idea:
The house has a lot of different materials so could investigate the details of the bricks, glass, wood etc using the macro lense. Could also use the wide length lense to capture the entire house in photo.
Things I liked:
I liked using the macro lense to zoom into details of things such as the stained glass and the shaped glass. I also liked shooting the reflections in the windows, I think it is a cool concept that I will further investigate.
Things to improve:
Shooting in better conditions, earlier in the day with better light and maybe on a clearer day.
Things to extend your idea:
Keep using the macro lense and look into small shapes around the house for a more abstract concept in the board to extend ideas.
Things I liked:
I liked the reflections photos and the close up photos of the stained glass window
Things to improve:
This was an experimental shoot and I wasnt expecting to actually use any of the work on my board. I wish I also went around other more building and shot others instead of just the chapel.
Things to extend your idea:
Exploring further windows and shapes and colours.
Things I liked:
I like this reshoot of Jerry Takigawa much more than the original. I like the lighting better and I liked that I focused it entirely on the colour palettes instead of using the measuring tape as well. I also used two different photos as well as just the close up of the two windows.
Things to improve:
I wish I got more colours to cover the board and go with the other colours of the house.
Things to extend ideas:
I used different angles this shoot which was an improvement for the last shoot where I just shot directly downwards.
