Idea
To photograph in the style of Peter Tonningsten I will use a black backdrop and will place my objects on the table. I will use a birds eye view angle when I photograph.
Artist model inspiration
I created a grid in InDesign, dragging and dropping the images in. I played around with different configurations until I found one that flowed nicely.
Evaluation
What worked? The black background looked really effective. The rusty objects turned out really well because the black made the colours pop.
What didn't, how could this be improved? Some of the objects did not look as well because they looked quite plain by themselves.
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea? Next time I would experiment with different compositions of the items and different angles.
Idea
For this shoot I am gonna use multiple artist models. To photograph in the style of Adrien Majewski I will explore using the photocopier, and photocopy hands, then will add in objects. To shoot like E. J. Bellocq I am going to take a photo of my model sitting on a stool and then in post-production am going to draw over my printed image with markers. For Ben Cauchi, I intend to drape a sheet over a chair in my environment and photograph it. I also intend to extend the idea by having my model underneath a sheet, sitting on a chair and standing. In order to shoot like Francesca Woodman I am going to have my model posing on a chair, I will play around with the shutter and model movement, to have blurred images.

Experiments
I used a photocopier; scanography to create these images. Using different techniques with my hands. Holding my hand at different distances away to create dimension, dragging my fingers as it scanned to create funky waving patterns, and holding objects to link to previous shoots. I also played around with the black-and-white feature on the scanner.
Evaluation
What worked? The images where I ended up putting a light under the sheet with the Model turned out very effective, next time I would take more. The post-production drawing on the image ended up working very well.
What didn't, how could this be improved? I experimented with the shutter, but they did not turn out the best and due to my camera dying, I was not able to improve them. The lighting with the sheet was not the best, it was quite harsh. This was due to my shooting late at night and having to use a torch to provide light. Due to the space I shot in being quite tight it was hard to get a large range of different angles that looked effective.
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea? Next time I would play around more with the shutter, getting more movement. I would also ensure that my camera is fully charged so it does not die half way through a shoot.
Idea
To shoot in the style of Rolf Sachs I am going to photograph the old cowshed and then blur it in post-production. I am also going to play around with my camera to make the photos blurry. I am going to shoot in colour, by will play around with black and white in post-production.

Evaluation
What worked? Playing around with the shutter worked well, although some of them are too shaky. The different angles made interesting compositions. The time of day that I shot had beautiful natural lighting.
What didn't, how could this be improved? Some of my photos were overexposed, next time I just need to change the exposure.
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea? Next time I would look at different types of blurry photos.
Experiments
After looking at my photographs I looked into Uta Barth to extend my idea of blur. She has a soft blur in her photos. In Photoshop I played around with different blurs, and I found that the Gaussian blur looked the nicest.

My work
After looking at my photographs I looked into Idris Khan. His image has multiple images overlaid. In photoshop I converted my image to black and white then duplicated the background layer and played around with the different layers to get the same effect in my image.

Idea
To photograph in the style of Joachim Schmid I will print some of my images and some old creepy photos, I will rip them and play around with different compositions of the images. I want to play around with the ripping to link it to my second shoot where I bleached images and they ripped.

Evaluation
What worked? The ripped images worked very well. I played around with the shutter, the effect from the lights made a really nice aura effect.
What didn't, how could this be improved? Next time I would photograph with a different angle, more of a bird's eye view so there isn't uneven framing.
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea? Next time I would play around with different rips and tap the images back together and leave gaps like Joachim Schmid does in some of his images.
