For this task, I used my phone to photograph around the house using different conventions of photography. I photograhed using the Lightroom app to show different conventions such as; Line, texture, colour, emphasis/focus, composition, pattern and man more.
For this task, I set my shutter speed high and then took photos of 3 different high-speed scenarios. I took a photo of water being poured into a glass, food colouring being poured into that water and our sprinklers.
For this task, I set my shutter speed low and went in a dark room to create photos with light trails. By using a slow shutter speed, I was able to move the light around to create cool shapes in one photo.
For this task, I explored different angles of an object, I chose an old recording camera. I photographed from different angles and then used InDesign to create a collage of my different images.
For this task, I used my phone to photograph different shapes and patterns in and around my house. I then compiled them together using InDesign to show the patterns.
For an extension, I used Camera Raw to change the photos into black and white. I then went onto InDesign and changed the shape of the photo frames into circles.
For this task, I used my camera to focus different depths of field on objects. For the first assignment, I lined up about 5 objects and used the manual focus on my camera to focus on different objects in the lineup.
For the final part of the task, I went outside and took two photos of a flower, both with different depths of field.
For the next part of the task, I used the manual focus to have selective focus on two items. I took 3 images, one focusing on the object in the foreground, one focusing on the object in the background and one photo where both items were in focus.
For this task, I took photos of some roses outside my house using selective focus. After that, I took 3 images into Photoshop to create a Depth of Field joiner image in the style of Joanne Verburg.
For this task, I took photos on my phone of different viewpoints of the environment around me. I have 5 different viewpoints.
For this task, I took photos on a DSLR camera of my friend Eva using a high shutter speed to capture her movement. Then, I used Photoshop to combine all of those images into one.
For this task, I used a DSLR camera and my friend, Eva as a model to create images of frozen and blurred movement. I used artist models such as; Phillipe Halsman, Francesca Woodman and Erena Baker as inspiration for my work. I used Phillipe Halsman as my inspiration for the frozen movement and Francesca Woodman for my inspiration for the blurred movement.
