For this submission, I had to have a full board 1 layout. This was then printed out and I completed a self-evaluation of it. The spread included artist models to that we were able to get feedback on if we have used the artist models well.
I am currently in the process of re-jigging my folio board. I have put in images from my first shoot to make the story flow better, as well as de-cluttering what I currently have. My current board is a bit busy and I have unneeded images, so I am removing them.
For this formative submission, we had to have 1 and a 1/2 board pages completed. After my 6th shoot, I completely re-jigged my board. I created a new page one and moved everything else back. This was so I could set the scene, and show Alice drinking the tea before she goes insane. However, the still life still does not link, and I need to do another shoot with the still life.
We had the option to print our boards 1 and 2 so that we get a sense of scale for our folio layout. Before that, I took the feedback from the formative submission to change the layout of my board. I began with the shoot in the grass, then to a bit of the lace, then to the tea party, and then back to the lace. I also started to work more on groupings and finding similarities in images to make my board flow better.
For this formative submission, we had to complete board 1 and board 2 to get feedback. I took the feedback from the optional print to re-arrange my board to make more sense. I finished my shoot 7, which was a still life re-shoot, to add at the beginning. This then transitioned into the rest of my board, only moving the shoot in the grass to the end.
With the internal submission coming up, I need to extend my work in order to get higher grades. Because of this, I took inspiration from the artist model David Hilliard, and decided to experiment with creating joiner images.
For this formative submission, we had to complete the entire 3 board folio layout. This is so we are able to submit a full board for the internal submission next week. Using the feedback from an earlier formative submission, I was able to re-arrange my folio layout, in order to create a better flow for my spread. As well as this, I was able to add a new shoot that I completed this morning, in order to extend the ideas on my board.
This is my final folio layout for the internal submission today. I re-ordered a lot of my board in order to get it to flow better from each idea to the other. As well as this, I included more from one of my earlier shoots that has a green theme too it. This helped to break up a lot of the lace that occurs on board 2 and 3. I also condensed a lot of board 2 and 3 to only feature my best work for this hand in. I also made some images from my latest shoot into black and white to make them more powerful.
