Georges Rousse
Georges Rousse
Glenn Bush- I like the documentry style of his work and how the subjects are photographed in their natural environment which is what I want to replicate.
Georges Rousse- I like the eye-catching colour and how it makes the photographs more complex.
Franz Hubmann

Richard Billingham
Richard Billingham
Franz Hubmann- I like the close up nature of his work and how the focal point is very clearly the model, or a feature of the models.
Richard Billingham- I like how the patterns and colours the model is wearing are related to other colours and patterns in the image.
John Stezaker

Fill Flash (technique)
Fill Flash
John Stezaker- I like how the attention goes straight to the silhouettes of the subjects and the background tells a little more about them. I want to try replications this with a page from a book instead of a blank silhouette. I also like how in the second exemplar the photo placed over the portrait is a little jarring but still feels like it fits with the background.
Fill Flash- I really like how the subject is separate from the background so the focus is automatically on the subject. There is also no under or over-exposure in the image.
Jitka Hanzrova
Jitka Hanzrova
Eugene Richards
Jitka Hanzrova- I like how the model fits into the background but seems removed from it. I find the first photo especially eye catching.
Eugene Richards- I like this one photo of his because it's portraiture but it's different from a 'typical' portrait of the models neck and shoulders. It also feels more intimate because the model is so close.
Martin Parr
Martin Parr- I think Martin Parr is going to have a large influence on my work because his images are full of colours that complements eachother and the images are quite busy or purposely full of white space which breaks up the busy images. There's also a sense of realness to his work. He also uses words to narrate the photo which could be really interesting applied to my theme.
Jim Goldberg

Jude Ray
Jude Ray
Jim Goldberg- I really like using words with photographs because not only does it give the viewer more context into who the subject is but it also reminds me so much of my grandmother because she's quite talkative, and enjoys word games such as Bananagrams so words are quite relevant to who she is. His way of photography makes portraiture feel different as well.
Jude Ray- The colours and symmetry of her work is quite nice and I like how the objects are easily grouped together bit there is an outlier. When recreating this work, one thing I would change is how clean the images feel.
Sophie Calle

Julian Germain
Julian Germain
Sophie Calle- I like how ordinary her subject matter is and even though its simple it can tell you more about the person who owns them.
Julian Germain- I like the character building of the subject through a single photo which would be a great way to tell the viewer more about my Grandmother if I could replicate this
Peter Jansen
Peter Jansen
Jeffery Wolin
Jeffery Wolin
Peter Jansen- This is a a really cool way of showing movement and since Gran walks a lot this would be an interesting idea to communicate that. It's also very different from the rest of my artist models.
Jeffery Wolin- I like how he uses words as a background that are all unreadable but also how they fit into the image as if it had been planned.
Annette Messanger
Annette Messanger- I really like how she uses two key components e.g the photos and the dress or the photo frames and the background image, to create an interesting composition. I think this would be really great way to combine photos I've already taken with olf familt photos and other objects.

Stewart Nelson
Stewart Nelson
Unknown- I thought this would be a really great way to incorporate the red yarn with Grans flat.
Stewart Nelson- This artist model uses scanography for his images so it would be treally cool to replicate this with important objects
