During shoot one I want to have a play with my camera and see what different depth of fields there are and different photo conventions there are that I can use to get the best out of my images. I want to explore my theme around the farm and see what different things I can photograph. I want to have a play with different things like the animals and still life so I have a bit of an idea of what I want to do for future shoots.
Shoot 1 evaluation:
What worked well for me:
My still life worked out well as the lighting was right and I will be reshooting these so that I can try and improve more
The time of day was right as the sun was not in the way for all of my photos, this meant that the photos not sun effect cam out clear
What didn't work as well for me :
I am still getting used to the camera meaning that some of the setting weren't quite right for some photos meaning that there was a but much light coming through the background of some of my photos
The sun was a bit bright meaning that when it was in the background it over powered the photo
His work:
I like the work of Robin Morrison, this is because he has the focus point of the image but he also has lots of landscape. I am going to use the red car image and use the buggy's and machinery we have around the farm to try and recreate the images utilising the landscape aswell. I like how he uses the portriture to enhance his images by giving them more purpose and meaning.
Shoot 2 evaluation:
What worked well:
The day was a sunny but overcast day meaning that the lighting was good without to much coming through the background
The fact that my dad was drilling ment that I could photograph him and get still life photos of things that I wouldn't else think of
I was more confident about editing my photos meaning that I could further edit my photos to make them look better
What didn't work as well:
I struggled to make sure that I wasn't repeating myself from my first shoot
I also struggled with sticking to my artist model with the person with their dog photos
Black and white
Still life genre
Light and Shadows
Purposeful arrangement of compositions
Lines
My ideas for my Jerry Takigawa shoot is too take some of my photos that represent my theme well and place some of dads farming tools on top of the images that the relate most too. I want to take one of my animal photos and place things like ear taggers on it and maybe try and essentuate one of the bulls/heifers.
I like the work of Jerry Takigawa as it is a new and different idea to extend my work. I like how I can use previous photos I have taken and enhance them even more by placing more items related to my theme on them. I like how the photos are in black and white so that the objects that I placed on top can stand out more.

Shoot 4 evaluation:
I like how the slightly dirty objects look against the photo in the background and how I have been able to somewhat link the background to the foreground. I like how I was able to explore placing different things on the paper and still being able to make it look 'right' on the image by placing other things on it to place to tie it all together.
My dog came in at the start and made the paper dirty and ripped it a small bit meaning I had to try and compensate that and try to cover it
I also struggled with making the background lay flat on the ground ensuring that the photo came out better.
I think I will have a re shoot of this and try and place different things on my photos so that the idea can be further extended and I can imporve my shoot.
