Ideas
I'm going to use the photo studio to do this shoot, and take some more photos of my guitar. I also have made a small collage of some photos I have printed as well as an old book I found for free. I want to experiement with various lighting to see the difference in outcome, as I enjoy the use of shadows.

What worked? - I used different types of lighting and different arrangements of my guitar and the chair, as well as taking photos at different angles. Although I didn't use many objects, I think I did an alright job and was able to use both of my artist models without getting lost.
What didn't, how could this be improved? - I think I could've done more with my collage, and even though I experiemented with the lighting a lot I feel like the examples above are still a bit too warm. I do like the outcome however and am happy with this shoot.
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea? - I want to do some more collage, which is a bit different to what I'm used to. I like the idea of incorporating mixed media into my folio, and I also want to do some photo collages so I may use David Hockney as a future artist model.

For this shoot I want to use my model again but this time using and playing with the guitar to be able to make the different shoots flow better on my board. I also want to use different angles and shutter speeds to be able to explore the camera a little bit more.

What worked? - I think that this was an okay shoot, and I also really like a majority of the close up shots I took. I also experimented with a few different shutter speeds which I think look good, as I was worried that the photos wouldn't look like they were intentionally shaky/blurry.
What didn't, how could this be improved? - It was a kind of glum day when I took these photos, so the lighting wasn't always great. I also think I was a little bit too repetitive in some cases, like taking photos of my model playing the guitar and standing in front of the step.
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea? - I still want to elaborate on the collage idea and bringing in mixed media, so I think that's what I'm going to do for my seventh shoot in the studio at school.
Artist Models: Rhed Fawell
Key features -
Rhed Fawell:
Collage
Mixed materials/papers
Soft brown tinge/lighting
Ideas
I want to do a reshoot of the collage shoot I did previously using the same artist model, Rhed Fawell. I like the use of the different coloured paper and the dominant red colour of the circle. I decided to use paint instead of stitching so it's easier for me to do.

What worked? - The colour palette worked really well for my theme and I used a dominant red circle inspired by Rhed Fawell's work. I think the use of photos and cut outs really worked as well. I like the different shadows too.
What didn't, how could this be improved? - I didn't get very many photos which I wish I had more time to do different arrangements. I also think some photos had were a bit too soft with the lighting.
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea? - I want to get my model holding some of the photos I've used in my collages. I also think I need to use the red chair in further shoots to keep the recurring use of a strong red colour throughout my board.

Ideas
I'm going to reshoot some of my photos from shoot 2 so that the imagery of the photo albums is consistent. I also want to investigate a range of artist models, with a focus on Amy Friend and Erena Baker to extend my idea. I think that if the Amy Friend photos work it could lead nicely into another artist model, Caleb Cole, who I used at the start of the year.

What worked? - The photos of my model with my nana's album turned out really good and I am glad that I chose to reshoot them. Using Erena Baker as an artist model was also helpful because I had explored shutter speed in previous shoots but without any artist model to guide me. I am happy with this shoot because I didn't go into it without artist models or ideas.
What didn't, how could this be improved? - My attempt at Amy Friend didn't really work, and you can see the twinkle lights behind the photos. I do like the idea though, so I am going to reshoot this at school in the studio hopefully with one of the small LED lights I used in shoot 2.
What are you going to do next time to extend your idea? - I want to carry on trying different sorts of photo manipulation, and possibly a still life shoot in the studio at school. I like the idea of using a box or a suitcase to store still life as it creates the idea of memories and loss. This could be how I finish my board.
I also want to experiment with my model holding some of my objects and possibly have him with the fairy lights around him.
For this artist model, I used Photoshop to do double/triple exposure some of my images. I chose photos that showed movement through the use of shutterspeed.

I decided to do a small shoot to trial Amy Friend again. I used my phone for this just so I could get the feel of what it would look like on my board for the internal.
For this, I placed the images on top of a clear box with an i-light underneath. This worked better than the twinkle lights as it was just one solid white however my phone picked up a purple tinge. I am going to redo this with a camera in the school studio.
