Welcome! Here are some reminders to help make the day go smoothly.
Please READ and SHARE the bus parking information with your drivers.
Check in when you get here to introduce yourself! There will be a sheet in the media center for you to double check contact information on contest day. The media center will be our contest headquarters. It is centrally located inside the school. We will have a QR code available in the media center for ALL CHANGES.
VALLEY IS LATEX FREE! NO LATEX IS ALLOWED ON CAMPUS. Common items include balloons, rubberbands, and duct tape.
If you need RISERS or MATS for you events, please let Sam Melz, contest manager, know PRIOR to the day of contest.
Remember your comment sheets for each group. You will need 3 for each group. Copies will be available in the media center for $.50 each in case of emergency.
Remind students and parents to be early to centers and to keep halls quiet. No cell phones inside the centers.
Please use the fieldhouse to store your team’s props, coats, etc. Please make sure your group cleans up at the end of the day. NO FOOD OR DRINK in the field house!
Your groups may use the North gym (the smaller gym) as a warm up spot.
Keep all food and drink INSIDE the cafeteria. Please help protect our hallways and centers.
Ratings will be posted during the breaks in the schedule. Ratings will be posted ONLINE and along the Media Center windows. You may collect your comment sheets in the office AFTER ALL of your ratings have been posted. If you do not plan to stay, leave a stamped envelope for your comment sheets.
Remind your students and parents to eat here. Help support our program and please do NOT bring in food. CASH & CARD are ACCEPTED.
Remind performers to bring comment sheets to the center and that there will be NO oral comments from the judges.
Carts will be at the centers for Short Film, TV, and Radio. ONE will be in the room and a SECOND cart will be outside the room for the next group to set up. REMINDER - you must provide your own devices (players and projectors).
Radio and Musical Theater - you must provide your own device to play.
Have your music, presentations, etc... downloaded in case the WiFi is not working. There is a "guest network" for you to use - but we can't guarantee it will be working, or quick!
IN CASE OF A WEATHER RELATED DELAY of contest or postponing of contest, please check local news outlets for cancellations. We will also post on this website and send an email.
There will be nurses in the building - they will reside in the media center.
