Audition Information:

Monday August 27th, 2018: Informational Meeting for Interested 7th and 8th grade students (Cast and Crew)

  • 7:00 a.m. in the Stilwell Auditorium
  • Everyone is welcome to audition! We work around sports and other activities students may be involved with. If you want to be a part of the show, even with many other commitments, we will find a place for you! :)

Audition Format:

  • A sign-up sheet for audition times will be posted outside of the Stilwell Drama room, on the bulletin board. Auditions will be done in pairs, meaning that two students will be auditioning in the same time slot. Feel free to sign up with someone you know! Those auditioning for a "Cast" role should sign up for a five minute, two person time slot. Each audition will consist of a short, one-minute vocal/singing excerpt (which will be done individually) and a dialogue/acting portion (which will be done with a partner).
    • Those interested in Crew Positions (Stage Managers, Lights, Sound, Makeup/Costumes, Set Building/Painting, Props, and Publicity) may fill out the sheet and turn in to Mr. Hunt or Mrs. Woods within the time allotted for auditions.
  • Auditions will run before school and after school for 4 days.
  • Callbacks will be on Friday August 31st, if necessary. Callbacks serve for the directors to see any number of students again, for any role. Callbacks will be posted on this website THURSDAY evening, August 30th. Students chosen for callbacks will also receive an email Thursday evening, so please check!
    • Callbacks will run both before school (6:30 a.m.-7:15 a.m.) and after school (2:35 p.m.-4:00 p.m.) depending on what students' schedules allow. When contacted about callbacks, please tell Mr. Hunt or Mrs. Woods what time would be best for you to come in on Friday.
  • DO NOT WORRY if you do not have a partner to sign up with for your audition. You are more than welcome to sign up for a time slot, and then others may sign up with you. If you see a slot with only one name, feel free to sign up with that person! Directors may jump in for the dialogue piece in the event that you are the only one at your audition.
  • CAST LIST will be posted outside the Auditorium (middle hallway doors near the Drama Room) and on this website over Labor Day weekend. Cast members can check here, but will also be notified of their role through email or phone call. It is at that time Mr. Hunt and Mrs. Woods will check whether the cast member accepts the role they receive.
    • **Disclaimer: While it is our goal to involve as many students as we can in this production, numbers for Cast and Crew may be restricted based on the number of roles included in the show. We will, however, have more "understudy" type roles for the Crew positions that we will use for those not selected for Cast or Crew roles. These understudy roles would work with Crew members to learn the ins and outs of the position and use those skills for next year's show!

  • Thursday August 30th, 2018 (6:30 a.m.-7:15 a.m. AND 2:45 p.m.-4:30 p.m.)
  • CALLBACKS--Friday August 31st, 2018 (6:30 a.m.-7:15 a.m. OR 2:45 p.m.-4:30 p.m.)
