A SAE is a supervised agricultural experience, and it involves practical agricultural activities performed by students outside of scheduled class and laboratory time. The SAE program allows students to learn in the real world and receive experience in careers that interest them.

For Ruby's SAE she works at United Bank of Iowa as a part-time teller. Ruby handles customer transactions, files important customer information, and answers customer calls. Working at the bank she can improve her customer service skills and grow as a business professional. Ruby's career goal is to get a Master's in Accounting and become a Certified Public Accountant. This job prepares Ruby for her future career by growing her customer service skills as well as developing a working knowledge of bank procedures which will be important when working with clients as an accountant.
Rylee Vohs
Rylee Vohs
Rylee works at the Countryside Vet Clinic in Moville. She assists with managing the constant flow of animal traffic and assists the Vet Techs and Veterinarians as needed. She also greets people, checks in clients, cleans exam rooms, assists with surgeries, sweeps and mops, does laundry, cleans surgical utensils, and attends various farm calls. Rylee plans to continue her education at Iowa State University and pursue an agricultural-related degree. This job prepares Rylee for her future in the agriculture industry.

Alexis Lambert
Alexis Lambert made her own worm compost bin. She found her own worms by taking a bucket of soupy water, a watering can, and spraying it on the ground. The worms would think it’s raining and come up, and you would have to grab them quickly. She plans to sell the worms as bait for fish or use them in flower pots.
