Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!  My name is Kristy Cole, and I am starting my 30th year of teaching!  I am the director of junior high choirs, vocal director of the high school musical, and head speech coach.  I am SO EXCITED to begin another great year of educating my awesome students.  This will be a great way for you to check dates, times, or any other needed information throughout the school year.

These are our PROPOSED performance dates.  Please make note of them on your calendars.  The performances in bold are the mandatory concerts/performances.  The other dates will apply to those involved, or are optional.  

• Nov. 7:  ILMEA Festival @WIU for 7th-8th grade students selected from auditions

• Nov. 11: Veterans Day Program by the 5th Grade Chorus

• Nov. 14: Speech Competition @ Auburn

• Nov. 21: ILMEA Jazz Festival @ Chatham (select 7-8th grade)

• Dec. 11:  Madrigal Opening Night (Boppin' BBs only) 7PM

• Dec. 12:  Madrigal Performances (Boppin' BBs only) 2PM, 7PM   

• Dec. 16: Winter Concerts - 6th grade and Boppin' BBs @ 6:00, 7-8th Grade and Boppin' BBs @ 7:30

• Feb 20: Fine Arts Camp (optional for 5th Grade)

• Feb. 27:  Solo and Ensemble Contest (optional for all 6th-8th grade)

• March 12-13th:  High School Musical
