New Bio coming soon =)
I am in my 23rd year of teaching band and music (3rd year at Williamsville) and can't imagine doing anything else! I love working with all the amazing WJHS and WHS students in our music programs, and am so excited to see what everyone will accomplish together this year!
I received my Bachelor's of Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I was a member of the Marching Illini, the Orange and Blues Band and the Illini Basketball Band. I also sang with the University Chamber Ensemble, was the featured pianist for the Wind Ensemble, a member of Mu Phi Epsilon professional music fraternity, and was Ticket Manager for Starcourse (a student lead group that brought popular performing artists to campus). I received my Master of Arts in Teacher Leadership from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and before starting at WJHS previously taught at Prairieview-Ogden Schools (4 years) and Rochester School District (16 years).
Outside of school, I am a mom of three amazing kids (Ben 17, Max 14, and Addy 11) who keep me very busy running to and cheering them on in all of their activities. I have been married to my husband Caleb for 19 years, and could not do everything each school year without all his love and support. We love to travel, watch movies and TV shows, and play music together when we get a chance! Just to keep life even more interesting, we also share our home with two dogs (Jayce and Teddy) and three cats (Snax, Pancakes, and Holly). It is truly never a dull moment when the Parker crew is around, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
