College classes at Mt. SAC ECA are dual enrollment courses.
Dual enrollment provides students the opportunity to take college level courses at the high school campus for free.
Students will need to complete the following application once a year.
The DE student/parent form only needs to be completed once.
Please reach out to the college counselor if you have any questions.
The dual enrollment courses that students complete at Mt. SAC ECA are part of the CA General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC). Completion of the Cal-GETC will permit a student to satisfy most general education requirements at the California State University (CSU) and University of California (UC) campuses.
Completion of the Cal-GETC is not a freshman admissions requirement to UC and CSU.
Meet with your college counselor to put together an education plan of potential college courses you can take throughout high school. During your 45 minute appointment, you can discuss with your counselor any of the following:
Major and career exploration
College planning
Obtaining a college certificate or/and associate degree while in high school
Time management tips and study skills for college classes
Resources available at Mt. SAC available and free for you to use
And so much more!
