NFPA Scholarships

Provides scholarships for youth in foster care who wish to further their education through college or university studies, vocational and job training, or correspondence courses, including earning the GED. The website also includes tips for scholarship applications and links to other scholarship and financial aid opportunities.

Vet Tech Scholarship 

This scholarship was created to empower current and former foster youth pursuing a college degree in veterinary studies by providing up to $24,000 to help recipients cover their educational expenses, making the path to a successful career in veterinary studies more accessible. 

As a recent graduate of a California public high school, you may be eligible to receive $500 to $1500 for use towards your education expenses. The California Kids Investment and Development Savings Program (CalKIDS), funded by the State of California, is providing eligible students with these funds to promote a college-going culture. Eligible student participants may receive awards to use for higher education: a $500 automatic deposit in a CalKIDS account for eligible low-income public school students $500 additional deposit in a CalKIDS account for eligible students identified as foster youth $500 additional deposit in a CalKIDS account for eligible students identified as homeless.

​​CSU: Financial Aid for Foster Youth 

Students who are current or former foster youth are eligible for a variety of types of financial assistance to pay for college, including the CSU Tuition Waiver for Current and former Foster Care Recipients.  


This scholarship was created to empower current and former foster youth pursuing trade school by providing up to $10,000 to help youth cover their educational expenses, creating the path to a successful career.
