Go to the new Google Sites
2. Click on the + in the bottom right to create a new site
3. In the upper left, name your site: your initials + Portfolio
4. Go to the Pages tab on the upper right
5. Select the + on the bottom right to create a new page
6. Name the page for the section, then click Done
7. Click on the 3 dots that appear when you hover over the Scratch page link
8. Select "Add subpage"
9. Name the first one: "About Me"
10. Now you can add your 1.4 About Me Project, so head to your stuff on Scratch
11. Find your About Me project, click on it to go to that project
12. In the URL, add "embed" to the end of your url, and copy (ctrl-c) that new URL
Note: you are able to add many items from other sites by simply getting the normal URL, but sometimes you must use the embed URL
13. Now go to your About Me page on your Google Site
click the white space in the middle and press "ctrl-v" (paste)
Wait a couple seconds and the Embed from the web, whole page dialog should open
click "Insert"
14. Click on the image of your project and drag the blue dots to resize
15. Click the Text box option under the Insert tab to add a textbox for the direction
16. Add another Text box to the top to give it a header/title
17. Publish your site and give it a name. Note: you might have to try a different name if someone else already uses the same initials
Make sure for "Who can view my site" it is ONLY set to "Anyone at GUSD" (don't change it)
18. Once it is published you can click on the drop down next to Publish to view your published site. Or you can click on view on the bottom that pops up, but that goes away after a few seconds.
19. Now you can copy your URL from the top and share with TClark, by using the google form, or others!
TClark recommends you bookmark your site.
You can click on the pencil icon in the bottom right to edit your site.

Here are some examples of what you can do with Google Sites
Change the theme
Change background image/color of each section on a page
Click the gear on the top navigation to switch to a side navigation
Create and add a logo for the upper left
Create new pages/sections for your other classes and projects in all classes
You can add pages 4 levels deep, so have a top page for each class (English, Math, Science, ...) or for each year (9th, 10th, ...)
Then under those pages you can add subpages and subsubpages for each category
Maybe add a page tolink to your friends' Scratch projects or portfolio webpage
You can embed images, Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms, PDF, YouTube, Desmos, Scratch, Khan Academy, Repl.it code
Make sure your site only has acceptable materials on it
