In a world where technology is predominant I think that having an inquiry model that integrates technology into the process is necessary and relevant for students. I believe that teaching should help create informed learners who can question where and how they get their information before it is synthesized into their learning. I also appreciate that this learning is nonlinear and that students can go back and repeat steps as needed. It also has two models; one for older students and one that breaks down the steps for younger learners.

Practice Model of Inquiry:
1) Task definition: What topic am I exploring? What am I trying to learn/create/make/do?
2) Information seeking: Once a topic or subject is determined, how can I find information that is relevant to the inquiry? Where will I find this information?
3) Location and Access-- How will I access the information? How will I know where to find it? Who can I ask for help?
4) Use of the information--How am I going to represent what I've learned? How can I showcase my knowledge in a way that is meaningful to me?
5) Share!
6) Evaluate how the process went--Where do I need to make changes? What could I improve on? What were the positives and the negative takeaways from this learning experience?
