Woodstock Union High SChool International Program
Woodstock Union High School has been awarded recognition for excellence by the United States Department of Education as well as earning a Public School Medallion from the Vermont Business Roundtable. The school has received other awards such as the Creative Schools Distinction Award from the Kennedy Center Alliance for our comprehensive arts program. Woodstock students frequently place in the Region 5 annual Mathematics Competition (sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America), and our Modern and Classical Language students typically earn recognition on national contests.

Woodstock Union High School is a public high school located in Woodstock, Vermont, USA. We are centrally located, close to the Upper Valley and within 30 minutes of Dartmouth College. This former shire town is about an hour from Burlington, VT, and 2 hours from Boston, Massachusetts.

Our school received this rank due to our skilled teachers who keep up with developments in their fields. Woodstock Union High School is a leader in innovation. Students and staff have many opportunities to teach, learn and collaborate in multi modal classrooms and work spaces, such as the NuVu Lab, one of our STEM labs. Students and staff are also invited to take their learning "off-campus," where they can engage in learning that is community wide and has an impact both on the learner as well as members of the greater community.

Students at WUHS are encouraged to pursue their interests, to develop initiatives, and to take responsibility for their learning. Students find wide support for their academic pursuits through opportunities such as independent studies, internships, and language exchanges. Students can find out about these opportunities by visiting the C3 department advisers whose mission is to match students to the opportunities they desire.
