Hello,  my  name  is  Mrs. Purvis! 

This is my third year as a Raider with Southeast High School, but have lived and loved in this community for more than 25 years! I embrace culture and diversity, believe in serving my community in the manners I know how, and place value in balancing life. My heart is full of love for my family, animals, music, books, trail running, yoga, Schitt's Creek, serving others and our community - and our students! 

I have a bachelor's in Human Services, a master's in School Counseling, and am pursuing a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision. As a professional school counselor, I am committed to aiding students throughout their academic, career, and social-emotional development. I am also the coordinator for the PSATs, AP Testing, Mid-Month Exams, EdGenuity, Credit Validation, and 504 Plans. 

I understand that life is difficult, school can be a challenge, and it is hard to focus on the positive when the world is so uncertain. Whether you need a schedule change, information on college and career options, really need someone to talk to about the hard things in life, or just want to share something great - my door is open!
