Our students had a blast celebrating their love of books all week long with different theme days: Hat Day, Random Acts of Kindness Day, Storybook Character Dress-Up Day, Stuffed Animal Day, and Pajama Day!

This year, our Media Center was awarded $3,000 through the Dollar General Literacy Grant! The grant was written specifically for advancing our genrefication project, so we purchased books for each Fiction genre, as well as graphic novels.
To celebrate, we had a preview party! Each class stopped by for 10 minutes to look at the new books... all 250 of them! Students entered a drawing to get to be the first to check out one of the brand new books.
