Classroom "Daily" Programs

Responsibility is a character trait that develops over time. It is important to help children to realize that they are not only individuals, but also members of many groups - friends, the class, their families, the community.

Mystery Walker

*Students are reminded to display appropriate hallway behavior.

*Students are engaged knowing that a teacher has chosen a “Mystery Walker” to observe.

*If the “Mystery Walker” follows hallway expectations, s/he will be rewarded with a decorative self-adhesive loop.

The Desk Fairy

*The “Desk Fairy” comes once a week to check a chosen desk.

*The students are motivated to keep their desks neat and organized all week in preparation for a visit.

*The "Desk Fairy" will leave a special note rewarding the student inside his/her desk.

Caught “Bee”ing Good

Each time a student is caught performing a random act of kindness, he or she will be given a “Caught Being Good” sticker to their “Bee” havior chart. When they fill up the chart, they get a reward..

Quiet Critters

Independent work incentive to keep on task and focused. Those who keep the critters on their desks at the end of an independent activity get a reward.

Treasure Box

The treasure box includes: stickers, toys, ice cream from the cafeteria, pencils, erasers, bookmarks, candy, and a few surprises!!!!

Star Student

Each week, a different student from our class, who demonstrates exemplary behavior, will be chosen as “Star Student.” He or she will be given an award and have his or her photo and about me displayed on our ‘“Bee”ing our Best’ Chart!
